Community Session: Every Brain is Different – Understanding Neurodiversity

Tuesday, 3 November 2026 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

You’re Invited: Every Brain is Different – Understanding Neurodiversity

You’ve probably heard terms like ADHD, autism, dyslexia and neurodiversity popping up more often. But what do they actually mean? Why does it seem like more people are being diagnosed today, and why has the way we talk about neurodiversity changed so much?

Join Leigh from The Psychology Group for a relaxed and informative conversation that will help make sense of it all. Whether you have a neurodivergent family member, are curious about the changing conversation, or simply want to understand the people around you a little better.

What Leigh will cover in this session:
✓ What does neurodiversity mean?
✓ How can it affect everyday life?
✓ Diagnosis and support in New Zealand
✓ Supporting a neurodivergent family member
✓ How our understanding is changing

There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and join the conversation. Neurodiversity is an area where our understanding continues to grow, so come along and learn with us.
