Pharmacy Care Group – Influenza Vaccination Clinic

Older adults are at increased risk of complications from influenza due to age-related changes in the immune system. Influenza can lead to serious outcomes including pneumonia, worsening of existing health conditions, hospitalisation, and in some cases life-threatening illness. Annual influenza vaccination is one of the most effective measures to reduce the risk of severe disease and support overall health during the winter months.

Vaccination also helps reduce the spread of influenza within the community, offering protection to family members, caregivers, and those who may be medically vulnerable.

Funded influenza vaccination is available for people aged 65 years and over.

A vaccination clinic will be held for HBH residents and Virtual Village East members on 28 April 2026 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at HBH Senior Living. Immunisations will be administered by the trained healthcare team from Pharmacy Care Group, who will also be available to answer questions.
