Monthly Outing: NZ Maritime Museum
Wednesday, 20 May 2026 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Join us for a relaxed day of discovery at the New Zealand Maritime Museum in the Viaduct Harbour.
We are saving on petrol and taking the time to enjoy the journey together as we make the most of our free travel using our Gold Card.
The journey from Half Moon Bay itself offers a scenic and social start to the day before arriving at the Downtown Ferry Terminal. A short level stroll will see us arrive at the Museum where we will enjoy all the wonders the Museum offers including the new immersive exhibition: Ngā Huhua: Abundance. Guided tours of the Museum will be available on the day before we stop for well-deserved refreshments at the onsite cafe.
We won’t be joining the Auckland traffic queues on the way home either – our ferry from Downtown Auckland will see us arrive back at Half Moon Bay without a traffic light in sight!
Costs:
Ferry/bus: Free for SuperGold card holders with a registered Gold AT HOP card.
Museum: Free for Auckland residents
